Meet the Tranquility Team
Aaron Duggan | Founder, CEO, & Broker
Aaron Duggan is a La Mesa native whose first experience with real estate rentals was plunging toilets, ripping up carpet, and painting (badly) apartments owned by his parents—all when he was only 8 years old. Discovering child-labor laws, Aaron quit working for his parents and after high school spent several years in camera sales and photofinishing. Aaron is a proud alumni of Grossmont and Cuyamaca Colleges where he earned degrees and certificates in Real Estate. He subsequently earned his B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from San Diego State University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Mythological Studies from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA. Since “professional mythologists” are in extremely high demand pretty much nowhere, Aaron has maintained a real estate practice since 1998, working as a salesperson, investor, broker and professional property manager. Aside from his real estate vocation, Aaron is also an award-winning photographer and published poet who views the simplifying of complex things to be his unique calling; he is constantly seeking ways to express this calling in all aspects of his life, both personal and professional.
John Wilds | President & Broker
John Wilds was born in Crescent City, California, but spent his early childhood as a navy brat right here in San Diego. Though he was torn from the sun-kissed bosom of Southern California at the tender age of twelve, San Diego always remained his spiritual home. After some time in Sacramento and Orange County, he inexplicably agreed to move to Chicago, Illinois, but dreamed of coming home since the first day of his first midwestern winter. John chose the easy path to success by obtaining a theatre degree; naturally, he has developed a strong background in the service industry, most recently as an IT service manager for a major law firm. When offered the opportunity to join Tranquility Property Management, John leapt at the chance. He was very happy to return home… even if it was just in time for his football team to leave.
Alli Silva | Vice President & General Manager
Alli (NOT Allison) loves being part of the Tranquility Property Management Team as our Vice President and General Manager. She graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and spent eight years as an administrative assistant working for a local accountancy firm. Alli feels strongly that a stint working at a children’s daycare while finishing her degree made her uniquely qualified to be the office manager of a workplace with four men. Alli, having three cats and one dog, has lobbyed strongly for an “office cat” but denies vehemently that her long-term goal is to evolve into a “crazy cat lady.” Tranquility Property Management is truly fortunate to benefit from Alli’s exceptional eye for detail, a genuine love of numbers, and a natural gift for organization.
Kristian Fichter | Leasing Specialist
Randy Sandstrom | Customer Service & Special Projects
A California native with a degree in broadcast journalism, Randy manages to be both laid back and a fantastically engaged communicator. During his 31-year tenure as a regional sales rep for Nikon USA, Randy expanded the use of his marketing skills to include multi-family property ownership, beginning with a four-plex in City Heights that he eventually traded into eleven units in North Park. Fortuitously, Tranquility Property Management, responsible for managing the property next door to that building, alerted Randy to a leaky pipe on his property and, through a truly odd series of coincidences, Randy discovered that he and Tranquility owner Aaron had crossed paths years before when Aaron worked at a local camera store. So began a pattern of Aaron calling Randy a few times a year to see if he was ready to place his units in Tranquility’s care until, one day, Randy turned the tables and inquired about any openings for a post-retirement guy looking to stay off Amazon. The timing was right and Tranquility’s owners and tenants have been the beneficiary of Randy’s ridiculous abundance of enthusiasm, knowledge, and laughter ever since!
Jill Wolfe | Operations Manager & Special Projects
Jill Jones is a San Diego native and former child who has always known she’s wanted to live in a house. When she’s not grinding that 9-5, she can be found crying over her BA in Theatre Arts, pumping serious iron in the gym, finding the dog and/or cat at the party, smiling for no reason at all or killing her house plants. Jill hails from the warm and fuzzy non-profit sector where she spent over half a decade running social media campaigns and taking phone calls. Despite all her efforts, she just can't seem to be able to get away from people long enough to discover the hidden mystery of the Rubik's Cube. If she's not too busy posting funny, property management related memes (we know, we know - HILARIOUS), she would love to take your call at Tranquility!
Sofia Scafidi
Sofia Scafidi was born and raised in San Diego, CA, where she spent her childhood years daydreaming and hunting fairies in her backyard—a hobby that, naturally, led her to pursue theatre at Grossmont College, where she earned her Associates Degree in Theatre Arts. She then went on to complete a two-year acting conservatory program at the esteemed Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City.
Of course, it only makes sense that after all that professional training, she would join Tranquility Property Management to… sit at a desk and answer your calls, with a smile! With her arrival, Sofia joins Jill, John, and Aaron in boasting extensive theatre experience, nudging Tranquility one step closer to CEO Aaron’s long-standing dream: to become the first Property Management–Commedia dell’Arte hybrid troupe. Lease signings with masks, maintenance requests in iambic pentameter—stay tuned, folks, this curtain is just rising.
Andrea Flint-Gogek | Real Estate Sales
Andrea Flint-Gogek is basically a La Mesa staple - born here, raised here, and never left. (And really, why would she? This place is awesome.) Since 2002, she’s been helping San Diegans find their perfect place to call home and has pretty much mastered the art of making even the most stressful real estate deal feel like a Sunday drive through Mt. Helix.
A lifelong local, Andrea knows every cul-de-sac, canyon, and coffee shop from Murrieta to Ocean Beach. She’s racked up more designations than most people have streaming subscriptions — GRI, SRES, ABR, SRS, SFR — which basically means: she really knows her stuff. Rookie of the Year? Check. Top Producer? More than a few times. Best of La Mesa? Yep. Circle of Excellence? Every single year since 2016. If there were a Real Estate Honor Roll, she’d have perfect attendance.
Andrea’s superpower is helping clients stay calm, confident, and actually enjoy the process, because she believes buying or selling a home should feel exciting, not excruciating. Her motto? Relationship for life. (And not just because she’ll send you a birthday text long after closing, or hook you up with the best local vendors and hidden-gem hot spots in San Diego.)
When she’s not negotiating like a pro or unlocking dream homes, you’ll probably find her hanging with family or trying not to get injured (again) playing pickleball.
